Kona Village Resort's Family & Childrens Program
Complimentary programs for children ages 6 to 12
The Children's Program is a complimentary activity to provide an interesting, educational and entertaining experience for children of a variety of ages focusing primarily on the 6-year old to 12-year old range. Because many of the activities may be of interest to children younger than 6 years of age, it is required for a parent or authorized adult to be present with the child throughout the scheduled activity. Please keep in mind, the Children's Program supervisors are not babysitters.
During the day, children are allowed to come and go if they choose. Evening activities, however require a parent to give consent directly to that evening's Keiki Program Supervisor in order for their child to be allowed to leave the program prior to its scheduled conclusion. Teenagers (13 years and older) are allowed to leave at any time.
Starting at 9:30 am each morning, a wide range of activities are provided by experienced program coordinators. Children 5 years and younger are invited to participate when accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Below is a sample of the activities (each one may not be held daily).
  • Hula classes
  • Fishing contests
  • Coconut painting
  • Net throwing
  • Hawaiian crafts
  • Pool activities
  • Informal marine discovery programs
  • Ball games
Complimentary programs for teens
Older children are given opportunities to stretch their boundaries with activities that build skills and self confidence. Make sure you sign up for these programs (each one is not held daily).
  • Snorkeling tours
  • Sunfish sailing lessons
  • Tennis lessons
  • Kayaking
  • Volleyball
  • Scuba and snorkel sails (extra fee)
No Children's rates or programs are available the following dates: 5/1 - 5/25 & 9/5 - 9/30.
Kona Village Resort's Family Plan:
Family Plan 4 and under.
SPECIAL NOTE: Prices indicated DO NOT INCLUDE the Kona Village Resort's Mandatory Daily Food Charge, which provides 3 lavish meals daily. This Mandatory Charge (for 2006) is $125/day for each adult, $88 for children 6-12, $41 for children 3-5, and free for children 0-2. During May and September, all Mandatory Food Charges will be at the adult rate.

Kona Village Resort Brochure

A Voyage to Paradise begins at Kona Village Resort. Individual thatched roof cottages (Na Hale) are scattered throughout the 82-acre property - nestled amidst tropical gardens, historic fish ponds and along the palm tree-fringed shore and speckled sand beach of Kahuwai Bay... site of an ancient Hawaiian fishing village. This Polynesian setting provides the ultimate secluded hideaway of your dreams on the edge of paradise.

"Do not disturb," Hawaiian style. A coconut in front of your 'hale' let's us know you would rather be alone

Indulge in a wealth of activities (most of which are included in the room rate), or simly lounge in a hammock strung between two palms and watch for the green flash at sunset as the Kona sun clips into the Pacific. Located on the site of a historical fishing village known as Ka'uulehu, Kona Village Resort has carefully documented and preserved what is one of th ebest petroglyph sites on the islands: 400 carvings etched in lava reveal an informative insight to the life and times of early Hawaiians.
Stroll barefoot in the sand, swim amongst trpical fish in a protected cove, marvel at our kona sunsets from your private lanai, (many with Jacuzzis) and watch the stars come out in a moonlit tropical sky. Kahuwai Bay provides splendid opportunities to snorkel in our marine preseve; just beyond awaits spectacular diving through lava arch-ways, and the State's best big game fishing. Our award winning children's program, "Na keikis in Paradise," will have kids dancing the hula in their own hand-made ti-leaf skirts. Kona Village Resort, Hawaii as it was meant to be....

For those seeking a romantic hideaway outside of time, Kona Village Resort envelopes guests in the spirit of old Hawaii. The soothing sounds of ocean breezes and gently pounding surf replaces alarm clocks, radios and televisions. Here guests follow the rhythms of the soul., Our two oceanfront restaurants serve Pacific Rim cuisine, and the Friday luau, renowned as the most authentic in the islands, is an outdoor Hawaiian feast featuring Kalua pig cooked over hot rocks, followed by Samoan fire dancing.

Our Agent Brad Says ...   This is a very unique, and very expensive resort. There are 125 individual hale (house in Hawaiian) set on 82 acres. The property has a very "tropical island" feel to it and the thatched roof bungalows are what many people envision when they dream about Hawaii. The beach quality, however, is only fair. The property is actually fairly rustic, although they consider themselves to be luxurious. This is the only all-inclusive resort in Hawaii.
Our Sales Manager Chris Says ...   This is a very unique property. If you are looking for old Hawaiian style, this is it! It is one of Hawaii's only all inculsive resorts. All of the rooms are in thatched roof bungalows and of particualr notice are the Ocean Front units with lanai and hot tub!
